The Mosaic Theatre in Plantation begins the new season with the latest entry in the "Reduced" Theatre genre. Now setting their sights on Tinseltown, the Reduced Shakespeare Company gives Hollywood more than just a nip and a tuck. They cut through the celluloid and fast forward through movie history, splicing Casablanca, Rocky, Star Wars, Titanic, Avatar, and every other enduring Hollywood moment into the ultimate gag reel.
The production stars Antonio Amadeo, Erik Fabregat and Christian Rockwell and is directed by Richard Jay Simon.
In this clip the trio of actors take time out from an exhausting rehearsal schedule to talk about the improvisational nature of the production, the number of characters they play and the danger of picking the wrong seats.

Roll Baby Roll! Heres some fun video of THE BOOZEFIGHTERS a motorcycle club.
Who are these men in green?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boozefighters
The Boozefighters Motorcycle Club (BFMC) is one of the oldest American working-class[clarification needed] motorcycle clubs, formed in California just after World War II. Today, the BFMC has chapters across America with its national headquarters located in Ft. Worth, Texas. The first European Chapter was founded in France in 2006. Other international chapters include Okinawa, Japan and South Korea.
[edit] History
The Boozefighters MC was formed in 1946 by veterans fresh out of World World II. "Wino" Willie Forkner (deceased 1997) is recognized by the club to be the founder. The BFMC were at the renowned Hollister incident of July 4, 1947, which was immortalized by the movie The Wild One, starring Marlon Brando. Lee Marvin played the part of "Chino," which is said to have been based on Wino Willie. It is this history that is being preserved in the spirit of fellowship and good fun.
The BFMC is one of the oldest active motorcycle clubs in existence. The Boozefighters have never been one percenters or an outlaw biker club. Their mottoes are, "The Original Wild Ones" and "A drinking club with a motorcycle problem."

Though Jeff Peel originally came to the county to build up its television station, he now finds himself doing everything from coordinating an hours-long shutdown of Interstate 95 for a movie shoot and coordinating Miami’s first monthlong celebration of live music.
But beyond the glitz and glamour of working with Hollywood, one of the office’s most important responsibilities is to ensure everyone in the film industry who comes to Miami gets good service from the film office that leaves them wanting to return for future projects.
“At the end of the day, any producer who's going to come down here is going to call a producer who's already come down here and say “Okay, what's it really like?’ Mr. Peel said. “And to the extent that those producers have good things to say then I think that makes our job that much easier and again that goes back to this idea of providing really good customer service.”
And the filming industry successfully lobby the legislature to put in a five-year, $242 million incentive to lure projects into the state, part of his focus is rebuilding the film and entertainment industry’s infrastructure, which includes everything from sound stages to set caterers.
“Stages are obviously the big sort of thing people look at,” he said, “but you know our camera rental operations, our rolling stock, the honey wagons and the catering trucks and the star trailers and all of that truck infrastructure really isn't here.
Mr. Peel was interviewed in his office at county hall by Miami Today staff writer Zachary S. Fagenson.

Palm Beach Rollergirls Sassy!
a democratically run league, founded in October, 2009. Several of the girls had experience training with other derby teams in the state, but many joined with no experience at all. The founders decided the Palm Beach area needed a positive, fun outlet for women of all diversities to pursue the sport of roller derby.
I fell in love with this sport when I watched the movie "Whip It" Talking to some of the nice folks on the side lines i found out this is really a diverse group and kudos to them : its not an easy sport but I imagine very empowering. This was sunday morning practice and i'm hoping to be invited back.

I'd love to hear from some of the Derby girls with their interesting stories and how Roller Derby has affected their lives.
