The Lums restaurant in Davie, the last of a franchise of 500 restaurants nationwide, has closed, the building being demolished to make way for a 24 hour, Flashback Diner....ah, things change. I remember after the highschool football games everyone would meet up at Lums.

Everglades National Park Environmental Education Program
Vultures are a common sight along the Anhinga Trail in Everglades National Park. Students who visit the park as part of the Royal Palm Education Program learn about the different plants and animals that call this place home.

Each spring in April, Miami Children's Hospital hosts a free week-long overnight camp for ventilation assisted children (children needing a tracheostomy ventilator, C-PAP, BiPAP, or oxygen to support breathing) and their families. Overnight campers come from throughout the United States. South Florida families and youngsters from local residential care facilities join in as day campers.
