A nurse and also PA have exactly the same amount of salary. Based on the field of specialization and location of practice, they earn an average of $95,000 per annum. In spite of the high wage, certain fields of practice may differ from one Physician assistant to another, and their flexibility matters. Private clinics and family practice are a few of their places of work choices. In fact, there's no need to worry for the working choices given that plenty of them are to choose from. Their interest of which location to work must be considered. Additionally, Physician assistants monthly wage are much larger than any other health-related assistants. So many of us constantly just skim the sur-face of our lives. Without realizing it, we start racking up what-if's and I-should-have's. Amaya has taught me so much about living without regrets and that it's OK to be impulsive sometimes. Be fearless. The jour-ney of writing and rehearsing my OPS has served as a true reminder of why I love be-ing an actor; the discovery, the playing and the satisfaction of knowing you've potential-ly given someone in the audience a voice, is priceless. Through it all I have had the sensational support, relentless cheering-on, and the love of my family, my hero (my Mommy), and my angel, my husband, Jair. My love and appreciation goes out to my personal AAA: Angie, Ari, and Alma. Special thanks to Stuart Meltzer for always be-lieving in me and never allowing me to second guess myself. To all of the NWSA fac-ulty, thank you! Michelle Hernandez, you rock! Felicia Kurtz and Melissa Kollwitz, thank you for helping me find my voice and having faith in it. And I would be remiss if I failed to mention the brilliant actors that make up the class of 2013. My darling Honey Badgers, time IS life, and I know that I have been blessed by being able to learn from all of you these last four years. Peace and love.

"How Do You Write A Joe Schermann Song" is an original musical that takes a unique look at love, artistic inspiration and relationships through a composer's journey in writing the score to an Off-Broadway show. Critics are calling it "a crowd-pleaser", "witty and extremely well performed" and "a hidden treasure". When Joe (Joe Schermann) lands an opportunity to write for an Off-Broadway show, he is forced to cast either the love of his life, Evey (Christina Rose) or his newly discovered muse, Summer (Debbie Williams). The realities of show business prove to Joe that writing is easy, living is hard.

Shortly after the earthquake in Haiti, Hannah was adopted and brought to the United States by the Lowensteins. Hannah spoke no english and to help her learn to express herself, the Lowensteins turned to a universal language, Art.
Hannah's talent shown through and coupled with some creative writing courses, it wasn't long before "Hannah Has a Story" was "born."
The book, a combination of Hannah's paintings and personal journey caught the attention of Bonnie Clearwater, Executive Director of MOCA (Museum of Contemporarty Art) in North Miami who was so taken by Hannah's talent she offered a scholarship to the Summer Arts Camp held each year at MOCA.
Not only that, Hannah's work is on sale in the museum gift shop. But that isn't the only way you can acquire Hannah's artwork. Visit www.hannahhasastory.com where you can learn more about Hannah and how your support can help others who have had similar experiences to Hannah.
Calypso Rose born McCartha Linda Sandy-Lewis, April 27, 1940 in Bethel, Tobago is a calypsonian. She began writing songs at the age of 15,turned professional in 1964 and has written over 800 songs and recorded over 20 albums.
Rose's father was a leader with the Spiritual Shouter Baptists. Her family was very traditional and opposed her singing in Carnival Tents. She composed her first Calypso in 1955 after seeing a man steal the spectacles off of a lady’s face in the Croisée, San Juan. In the song, she advises Tobagonians to stay at home, because Trinidad was no place for them. Originally she used Crusoe Kid as her stage name, the name Calypso Rose was given to her by the Spoiler, and tent members Piggy and Spike.
Travelling outside of Trinidad and Tobago for the first time in 1963, Rose covered the islands from Grenada to St. Thomas. She won the Calypso King contest and the Roadmarch in St. Thomas with her first recording, Cooperation. In 1966 she wrote the song Fire in Me Wire, the first calypso ever sung two years running at the Trinidad carnival, in 1966 and 1967
Rose was the first female to win the Trinidad Road March competition, in 1977 with her song Gimme More Tempo and in 1978 she took the title again with Come Leh We Jam. In the same year she won the Calypso King competition, the first time it had ever been awarded to a female. The competition's title was changed to Calypso Monarch in her honour.
Rose was in concert in Paris au petit Bain on May 26th, 2012.
Earlier this week, school districts across the state were surprised to learn of their students’ low FCAT writing scores, leading the Florida Department of Education to lower the bar so more students would pass the test. We discuss this and the challenges of providing accountability in education.

Meet the Three Sisters, Olga (Ashley Change), Masha (Jennifer Zabalo) and Irena (Stephanie White) from the New World School Of The Arts production of the Anton Chekhov classic.
New World School of the Arts’ Silver Anniversary brings forth one of Anton Chekhov’s masterpieces. Three Sisters, directed by NWSA theater faculty member Gail Garrisan, highlights the artistic talent of the college juniors and seniors. Categorized as a drama by the playwright himself, the play explores the complexity of human nature by looking through the lens of realism rather than sensationalism and placing particular emphasis on the mundane. Garrisan notes the significance of this production “one of the criticisms of Chekhov plays is that “nothing happens”. There is no action! Perhaps. But maybe his genius is that everything happens. Just not in a way that we would expect. Sometimes, life is outrageous. Sometimes, it is dramatic. But mostly it is not.”
The six-day schedule begins on Friday, February 10, 7:30 pm – Louise O. Gerrits Theater – 25 NE 2nd Street, 8th Floor, downtown Miami. Additional performances will be on February 11 and 12, 7:30 PM and Sunday, February 12 and 19, 2:00 PM. General admission is $12, students and seniors $5. Tickets can be purchased online at nwsa.mdc.edu
“The greatest acting is not done with broad strokes. It is comprised of the embodiment of the character’s intentions, in beats and micro beats. It is not just what we say or do, but also what we don’t say or don’t do,” explained Garrisan. “The complexity of Three Sisters provides our students a perfect canvas for the application of their understanding of this concept. Byanalyzing the text and mining for subtext, they develop a greater understanding of subtlety, nuance and living moment to moment in the given circumstances of the play.”
Anton Chechov’s Three Sisters is a magnificent example of his intentions as a playwright – to offer us the opportunity to be among these characters; to partake of the atmosphere and condition of their lives; and to see ourselves perhaps, or those we know. We experience the lives of Olga, Masha, and Irena and the others, over a period of almost five years. What happens? Everything! Hope, laughter, longing, regret, love, resentment, passion, despair, loss; it happens in starts and stops, sharps remarks, in pauses and deep breathes, in fleeting thoughts, in late evening revelations, in unexpected tears and random musings. Along with Strindberg, Ibsen and later Shaw, Chekhov brought to the stage, a heretofore-unfamiliar sense of realism. His wonderful plays and short stories remind us that life happens one moment at a time; in the heart, in the mind, in the spirit. We just don’t usually notice our lives passing because we are living the moments- from the inside, one at a time.
“There is a timelessness in Chekhov’s work that, I suspect, will keep it current for some time to come. The years may pass, but human nature not does not change thatmuch. We are reminded, as we watch this play, of our own dreams and disappointments, foibles and fragility, our action or in-action. Change requires effort. Talk is cheap. Effort can be costly. But, just “talk” unaccompanied by effort, is even more costly.” – Gail Garrisan, Director of Three Sisters at NWSA.
Chekhov was remarkably suited to the genre he helped create. He was known to be shy as a child; an observer. Chekhov’s personal life was quite challenging and his experiences and interests were broad. He was the grandson of a serf. His father was rather tyrannical. One of six children in lower class family, his home life was extremely difficult. When his father left home to find other work, after his business failed, young Anton was left to care for his mother and young siblings. At sixteen, he was all on his own, tutoring and writing to support himself and struggling to finish school. Later, he trained as a doctor and also became increasingly interested in environmental issues. Diagnosed with tuberculosis at 26, he was often ill and weak, yet always hopeful. All of these aspects of his own life find their way into his work, though he would be the first to say that none of his plays are about him. They are however, “about” simply being human. Everyday life.
Theater and music theater students at NWSA hone their craft through acting technique, movement and speech classes, focusing on fundamentals of physical and emotional preparation. With performance at its core, training is based on the classical texts and the principles of drama as well as practical incursions into the contemporary and experimental edges of theater. Consequently, alumni are found performing onstage nationally and internationally and their talent and vision are recognized and highly regarded in the industry.
New World School of the Arts was created by the Florida Legislature as a center of excellence in the performing and visual arts, and is an educational partnership of Miami Dade County Public Schools, Miami Dade College and the University of Florida.
