Ernie Diaz has been climbing up the latter of success during his 28 years in the banking industry Mr. Diaz has held several executive-level positions which include having served as market president for TD Bank in South Florida, as president of the Mercantile Bank in Florida, as well as middle market executive for South Florida at Regions Bank. Now, as the new regional president for TD Bank in Florida, he is responsible for providing strategic direction and sales leadership to the bank’s retail, small business, commercial and specialty banking operations and lending services throughout a network of over 170 stores.
Despite his busy schedule and a demanding career, Mr. Diaz always makes time to unwind his busy mind by going fishing with his two sons, Ernie and Gabriel, who he says are much more skilled fishermen than he is.

Miami-Dade County Tax Collector Fernando Casamayor is poised and ready for the launch of a new tax collecting system to come online in June. Mr. Casamayor, who was appointed to the role permanently in October 2007, said he and his staff have been readying for the transition.
