Arts Garage is a multi-disciplinary cultural hub for visual artists, musicians, performers, film presenters and arts educators.
Creative City Collaborative is dedicated to infusing arts and culture into the Delray Beach Community by presenting live and musical performances, and foreign and documentary films, and providing creative classes and workshops. Founded in 2006 to build the cultural infrastructure that celebrates the City of Delray Beach as a creative, authentic, and intimate City, Creative City Collaborative is supporting the Delray’s cultural growth; strengthening the City’s distinctive national brand and to creating a learning community through the implementation of the Creative City Collaborative plan adopted by the City Commission of Delray Beach.
In November of 2010, The Delray Beach CRA decided to utilize the storefront space located at the lower level of Old School Square Parking Garage to host cultural and arts activities in the space. Alyona Ushe, the Executive Director of Creative City Collaborative, as a CRA employee was tasked to work with the Creative City Collaborative to organize activities in the space that has been named “Arts Garage.” These activities include performances, film, concerts, workshops, and multi-disciplinary classes. In addition, programming at the Arts Garage is being used as a testing ground for activities envisioned in the CRA’s Warehouse project, while building awareness in the community of the City’s Cultural efforts.
Executive Director Alyona Ushe explains why the Arts Garage is the jewel in the crown of the revitalized Delray Beach Arts District

Its been a long busy winter up here in Jensen beach and a while since I've shot some great music. Sept 08 memorial day week I met Graham and IKO IKO at the back room in Boca when they were playing at a fundraiser. I'm going to post some info below and upload some videos from the event which was pretty incredible- if you think about it - this is a line up for a blues festival. These muscians came out and poured their hearts for their friend. We all came out and enjoyed. So if you watch any of my videos please take the time to donate to help.
BENEFIT CONCERT AND SILENT AUCTION
Graham Wood Drout, frontman for IKO-IKO and the award-winning musician who's songs have also appeared with Blues artists, Albert Castiglia, Grady Champion, Joey Gilmore, and many others, is hospitalized in Miami with severe diabetes complications requiring several surgeries and multiple medical procedures.
Graham has performed with countless legends in music (Muddy Waters, Bo Diddley, Ronnie Wood, Jimmy Buffett, and on and on). He's one of South Florida's treasured sons and has donated so much of his own time supporting others during their times of need. From Toys for Tots to local TV & radio to countless individuals, Graham is always there to lend a hand.
Now, it's our turn to give back. Graham needs our help since, like so many working musicians, he has no health insurance benefits to cover these extraordinary costs. This benefit concert and silent auction will help and we hope that you can be a part of it.

Since 1990, Fushu Daiko has been training in the art of Taiko, a musical art form that builds on a 2600+ year old tradition of Japanese drumming.
The music combines the traditional drums and rhythms of Japan with musical styles from around the world, such as jazz and rhythm and blues, to create an exciting, powerful cross-cultural experience that strives to cross boundaries and connect cultures.
Fushu Daiko performed at the Fall For The Arts festival at the Arsht Center on Sept. 12th, 2010.
