SUBTROPICAL CITIES 2011: Subtropical Urbanism Beyond Climate Change, an international conference co-hosted by Florida Atlantic University and the Queensland University of Technology in Australia. The three-day event will be held at FAU’s downtown campus in Fort Lauderdale, March 8-11. www.subtropicalcities2011.com
Subtropical Cities 2011 Conference will discuss responsible growth and environmentally sustainable design in cities with subtropical and tropical climates. Key themes include: subtropical cities in the urban age, sustainable practices and decision making for resilient cities and adaptation to climate.
Since its inauguration in 2006 Subtropical Cities has provided a forum for the presentation of local knowledge from subtropical zones around the world to address global challenges.
