Description: Shortly after the end of a three-year term as chancellor of Florida’s State University System, Mark Rosenberg, a Florida International University professor since 1976, was named to succeed retiring President Modesto “Mitch” Maidique.
With a brand-new medical school, an upcoming accreditation evaluation and thousands of new students, Mr. Rosenberg has his work cut out for him.
He was interviewed by Miami Today Staff Writer Zachary S. Fagenson in the interim-president’s office on FIU’s main campus.
